It’s difficult but I think you have to make yourself do the opposite of everything your brain is telling you: get outside, go for a walk, get dressed up, drink water, healthy food, call or see a family member or friend, volunteer at an animal shelter, or do some other kind deed for someone, write and send a card or letter to someone…all the things your brain doesn’t feel like doing. That’s the complicated and awful thing about depression- it’s a cycle- everything you want to do when you’re depressed makes you feel more depressed. But also know, it’s a cycle in a good way too- it doesn’t last forever. You will come out of it if you hang in there. ❤️
