I was in a relationship few days ago, we still talk but I can see him drafting apart, he was making a lot of efforts earlier but now he has stopped, when I asked him why he said he needed time to focus on himself and now he can’t/doesn’t want to give much to this relationship because we won’t end up together according to him. He’s also not ready to cut off some people from his life that disrespected me. I actually don’t know what to feel about all of this, i’ve been really emo since past few days

I think you have to let it go.
Since he belittled your existence keeping up with people who disrespected you, then he doesn’t respect you enough and if you think love is enough, it’s not. One day he will say something and you will be hit by a realisation that you need respect and your self esteem needs answer. And that day you will try to build your life and that time the only thing that will pinch you is that, you can win the world over yourself but this man can never be yours and can’t give you respect and you will end up doubting your self worth even when you do the best you can. And that is such a rough place to be in.
I mean i feel i’ve been in the wrong more than him, but I get what you mean. I have been in a position where I doubted my self worth before and I don’t know how but I ended up in that turmoil, yet again.
Thank god you realize that. It’s time to get out of it, by hook or by crook and I am really glad you understand about your self worth. Go for it. Stay strong. Feel free to talk about the process it’s a safe space and I have been there as well in this situation.

I can relate… Same thing happened to me … Girls don’t respect mans effort and when he stop giving efforts then the girl think that the man has changed but the fact is that the girl never gave those efforts which the man deserved
It happens when a person lose interest or when that same person starts taking interest in someone else
