It could be that he doesn’t want to tell others (i mean in a good way) , all my school friends after covid have gone perverts all the people i knew changed they’d literally sexualize women and if I’d ever have a gf I’d keep her private and never tell people like them because half of them are like this . So it could be this or any other scenario you have to talk to him
