I am confused what i am?
I have an elder brother with whom my relationship is quite complicated.
Whenever he is around, i feel no happiness, no motivation, and even can’t decide what to do as it feels like i am under surveillance and being judged for whatever i do and can’t even laugh properly. You can say i fear from my brother. He just want me to be a sensible man. I too, want him to recognise me as a sensible man however end up being clumsy all the time.
But now he is living outside , i feel like i am missing something in my life. Though i laugh and doing everything that i must do but i kinda don’t like this freedom. Maybe i am used to living under pressure and surveillance .
And recently i got a mail from HCL for interview for data analyst job role but package is low , 2.20L/annum. I thought of taking help from my brother , but he said he is not preparing for this job, maybe he thought i send that e-mail pdf to his WhatsApp for helping him out(he don’t know that i have interest in programming), But the moment he said this i couldn’t bring myself to tell him that i send this mail to ask you , should i got for this or not? And one thing more here is that they are giving me a contract for 3 years so I don’t know whether to accept it or not. But instead of saying this , i just said ok and said gn bhai.
I don’t know why i can’t bring myself to say a single word to him.
I hate him when he is around but miss him when he is not.

He’s your brother in the end. Elder brother are almost like fathers being an elder brother I relate that. It’s not like he doesn’t like u and want u to be in boundation. It’s more like he worries for u a lot that it feels like he’s pressing u for everything. As u said he’s not living with u then be strong just type a big message which contain everything you want to say to him and send it. What will be the worst outcome he shouts nothing more than that na but in his eyes your value increases that yes my brother shares everything with me… So try it if possible and tell is it works or not 🖤🖤
As an elder brother, we would’ve seen you doing something wrong or just not according to our standard once or twice and we think you are fit for nothing and hence pressurise you, but we actually care for, want you to be independent and want people to look at you with respect. We sometimes overdo things and this leads to disasters.
I don’t know how, but I understood where I was wrong and corrected myself (I’m not telling I’ve become the best brother, just that I’ve reduced being my old self).
One day even you and your brother will enjoy each others company. Don’t worry.
Now coming to your job, even if you are ok with the position they are offering you, the salary and contract is not worth it. You’ll definitely find openings for the same positions without contract.
