so uhm i started smoking a year ago. it wasn’t as bad as it is now. everyday i tell myself that i won’t smoke a cig, but as long as i have cash on me, i will always have pack of cigs as well. im a vocalist, the smoking for very obvious reasons is affecting my skill set and the songs that i was able to sing a year ago, are hard to sing now. i am also an athlete and it sucks because before i used to be able to run constantly for 30 minutes and now when i go for runs i get tired by 5. my longest has only been a day without smoking. never thought this would be an issue and it fucking sucks

I’m glad you recognise this as an issue. My ex-boyfriend used to smoke a lot and I don’t even know if he realised how much it was / will impact him. the very fact that you realise it is your road to recovery. every day, maybe just try to reduce consumption little by little. your mindset will be of utmost importance and can really help you get through this. you can post your progress here, i’m here to listen :) xx

Try to get a vape. It has helped a lot of people quit smoking. I know you’d just be substituting cigarettes for the vaping but it’s much more safer than smoking. After you get on the vape, you can try limiting that day by day too.

You could chew the gum and juking. Nicotine patches help a lot too. You know it’s more about the ritual than the actual smoking. So it’ll seem super silly, but when you want to, take any cylindrical object to your mouth and just pretend to smoke it. It will help.

Hey, please don’t be habitual to smoking. It has negative consequences on our health. You can clearly see changes in yourself as you already stated. Having numerous cigs each day is not good.
Please try to leave it as soon as possible. Don’t be careless regarding your health.
Thanks for sharing your problems with us.

I understand its a habbit which you can’t easily get rid off, but for your betterment you have to be stay positive and courageous and have to quit it because its even harming your vocals and can’t sing that efficiently which you were capable earlier.
Exercise daily and say no to smoking.
Have a good health!
