should i sympathize with a person who committed suicide because elders are saying that it was extremely selfish of that person ? is it true because i don’t feel that way even if i try to make them understand they won’t listen

Yes, the decision is selfish because when one does such things, they just want to get rid of all the disappointments that they have. All the energy within them, their confidence, their motivation is just lost. They feel they are a burden to others. Their life is so messed up that they cannot fix it at all. It is too tough to deal with such pain. All they care about is stalling that feeling, too hard to resist.
