My sister recently got married.I was talking to the groom’s brother since I felt he is good by nature.
I got to know he is from similar educational background but right now he is a fresher.
He asked me where do I work? I told him my company’s name.He then asked me “you work at call center?”
I said “no,its IT company”.
Then he asked “so you work at support”
I said “I am a developer”
Then he says “Oh,since you are developer its a great thing”.
I am really confused if his questions were innocent or he was trying to put me down.
Is it necessary that the person working at good post should wear that attitude and not be down to earth?
You know, the tone really matters, and you might be right about him saying this in a condescending manner, I won’t lie. But you do you. Stay true to yourself. We come nearest to the great when we are great in humility. How someone else behaves with us gives away their values and manners. Just ignore anyone who tries to belittle you, they are just projecting their own insecurities
