Sharing Our Innermost Thoughts

My brother got married about 1.5 years ago and my sil was…behaviourally very wierd.Me and my mom noticed and we became suspicious of her actions towards us all. Turns out we were right all along. She has falsely accused all three of us of dv, dowry, and what not. The money they spent on the marraige was around 3-4 lakhs. We never asked for dowry or money or any other requirements from her side. She is now asking for 33 lakhs. The kind of things that are being implicated for our family are horrendous and as i read the complaint that she made, i was surprised by her statements and moulding of actual events. My brother goes to court mandated mediations and she has tried to character assassinate my and my mother by implicating that we sleep with my brother. She has also alleged that my uncles have some kind of sexual relations with my mother. All of this is taking a toll. I may not notice this but it is. I am trying to be strong but its hard when you see someone taking advantage of the rights they are given. The only thing she does in front of other people is to start crying uncontrollably to gain sympathy or to harass my brother by saying we are the lowest of the low. Her mother is also like her, if not worse. I just cannot understand how these types of people come about. I struggle a lot these days with feelings of vengeance and hopelessness. Anxiety about whats going to happen. How are we gonna pay this amount?
