Is smoking up 2 to 3 times a day considered substance abuse? Or is it more about what you use it for?

Substance abuse means using “substances” that are addictive and harmful for you. It can include smoking, alcohol, drugs, etc. Classification of various degrees of substance abuse depends upon the substance, and also on the extent to which you take it. Smoking up 2-3 times a day is likely to make you engage in it more, and yes it is considered as substance abuse, because nicotine is an addictive drug. Please be aware of the consequences of the behavior you are indulging in, it is very harmful, please reduce your nicotine consumption and think of more constructive ways to deal with your problems. I’m sure you can do it :))

I've been trying to stay clean for the past 3 months but it's getting so hard. I'm so tired of trying. I keep just smoking the pain away or straving myself.
