I’ve always wanted the opportunity to share my deeper thoughts and emotions without really showing who I am, now that I have it, I hardly know what to say. I guess the better question is why do I feel the need to express these things without revealing myself. I’m sure many here can relate with that sentiment. Honestly I don’t know. Perhaps I feel like I’ve built a persona for others that can’t be infringed upon. That or I value the expectations of some too highly to betray their perspective. All I know is that I have so many emotions that I want to speak about, but it just feels like I can’t. I want others I care about to understand the machinations of my mind, but I know nothing I do could ever truly make anyone understand. I want to show them why I am the way I am, why I value the things I do, and why I simply cannot function the same way as others. I’ll share more in time, but I’m not here looking for answers. I already have my answers. I think more than anything, I just want someone to acknowledge that my true thoughts and emotions exist. That I’m not just an empty amalgam made from the perspectives of others around me.

Lonely

I feel like my venting is so microscopic, compared to many hardships people endure. I live with my husband’s family, mainly his mom. But now his 2 sisters and their kids live with us now, and they have been a handful. One of them leaves her kid while she goes out for days, and doesn’t bother coming back after 3 days out. I care about his mom, but now his mom is brainwashed, thinking that what she’s doing is right. Today, I realized that all my sayings that what she is doing isn’t really the right thing, his mom calls me manipulate and jealous. I just hate seeing the kid sad that’s all. But I don’t want to act as the victim either. I want to leave the house so badly. They treat me like a roommate, and they make me a villain in their story. I know now not to meddle anymore. Communication with them is like nails to a chalkboard. I just don’t know how to deal with them on daily basis. Because unlike them, I can’t be a hypocrite. I wish my husband backed me up, but it’s family. How can I force him to go against his own family? I am leaving next week. I can’t do this anymore with these people who are so ungrateful, so selfish, and full of themselves. Any advice would be great.

Hi. I'm a Law Student in Pune, and all my life I've been a person who has been an extremely extroverted human, but... idk man. Everyone tells me how sweet or good I am, but I feel so lonely here. I have been here for a few months and have gone out like once. I feel... alone and wanting. We had a fest in our college and throughout it all, I was alone. Everyone was clicking pictures, taking selfies, and well, there was no one who'd be inviting me.

I know people would say that I should enjoy my own company. Trust me, I do, but not when it's the entirety of what I have. I want people, to go out, to explore this city, to just have fun. To hug, to have a shoulder to cry on. To feel things with. Is it too much to ask for?
