I think the son of my motherβs friend has Autism. I want to talk to her more about it but my mother has told me clearly not to do so as it might be intrusive. Is that so ?
Saitama @saitama
You should talk to her. Autism can effect the quality of life is not treated properly. It doesnβt seem intrusive if you want to help. Older people think of mental disorders as taboo so you need to explain that itβs nothing to be ashamed about.
No one 111 @jarul
Not really. Most schools have a mental health counsellor who can actually conduct some tests for free and recommend a psychologist. Itβs a real issue and can improve their lifestyle immensely if they get the help that they need.

I dont think so. Using the right words can do a lot of good.
There is no harm talking about it if you do it in a respectful manner.
