Hi, I’ve recently started watching this show called, “The Good Doctor” starring Freddie Highmore, which revolves around a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome. I’m sorry but the only other time I’ve had a brush with autism is also through an Indian movie called My Name is Khan. or even Tom Hanks in Forrest Gump. I really wish I had more to contribute than just media representation of autism. I have never personally met someone who has autism. But all I can say is that I’m here to listen and to help out as best as I can, to just be a friend, and hear what affects you.

As for your mom, all moms are concerned about their children. They want them to be happy and independent in life.    And so they worry, about our safety and our wellbeing. Therefore, sometimes it becomes our job to make them realise that it’s okay. That nothing’s wrong. Everything is under control. And that life will unfold itself, and good things will happen. Sometimes the reassurance needs to come from the child, i.e. us. And I know this is easier said than done, but I hope you’ll give it a shot :)
