How to say no to certain works in workplace??
Simple…“my calendar is booked as of now and I would really take this up if I had more bandwidth today.”…also please remember it’s important to help your colleagues to ensure you maintain rapport. They will also help you back.
I would definitely help if it a small favour but they ask me to do almost half of the work and they are senior to me how can I say no when I’ve my own work and also it is not my job to take care of their almost entire work. They ask me in such a way like it’s my job only to handle theirs.
Yes I can understand you. They give you that work because they know you will do it. Try telling them you already have too much work for the day or tell yes, take the work and don’t complete it. When they ask you, tell them …i had already told you that I have lots of work before itself. Report these people to you manager. If your manager only is doing like this then politely tell them I’m sorry see my calendar it’s already so full how can I take more work? Reporting to HR also helps.
