Have been contemplating for a long time for whether to start my own Youtube channel or not. I want to do it but then I also have that fear that people would judge me or it won’t fit in with my career goals as right now it requires more focus.

True, but you can make a youtube channel without showing your face. Also, you can make specific days where u post. Like weekends or just days, your are free.
