Why religion always goes against alternate sexualities, however we all know that such exists even before human existence and nothing can change the fact?

People tries to force their preconceived notions on us are we doing anything wrong just by being ourselves?

I have a theory that why religion oppose this thing. My theory is that these religions and all these social construct are there to have a system thatโs all. For example, When the civilization started there were no concepts like adoption, surrogacy, insemination etcโฆ,
As a civilization, itโs important to procreate otherwise weโll go extinct. So they thought only option to do that is by a straight couple. Hence the oppression of other sexualities.
So these People who oppose this in our generation have to realise that almost all of the religious norms are so outdated for the modern world and start accepting these things.
History suggested that Hindu dharma was very accepting in it,like shakuni in Mahabharata and such acts were part of that society and transgender were given different level of respect they were guard of treasuries of kings so on and forth.Even that Indian society was also so open like shown on Khajuraho temple as well. But it was British who brought the idea of homophobia, transphobia cause it was out of their understanding and their fear of unknown so they criminilazed it(which was followed till 2018) and instilled their belief on Indian people which is prevalent till now.
*shikhandi not shakuni๐ ๐ Sorry.
