Thought of sharing love poetry by Edmund Spenser here with y'all. Just for the sake of it. 

One day I wrote her name upon the strand, ut came the waves and washed it away. 
Again I wrote it with a second hand, but came the tide, and made my pains his prey.
"Vain man," said she, "that dost in vain assay, a mortal thing so to immortalize.
For I myself shall like to this decay,
And eke my name be wiped out likewise."
"Not so," (quod I) "let baser things devise, to die in dust, but you shall live by fame.
My verse your vertues rare shall eternize, and in the heavens write your glorious name:
Where whenas death shall all the world subdue,
Our love shall live, and later life renew.

If you were given a task to write a poem about your ex.... What would be the title of it according to you....!? 

“We’re all mere pawns in the chess game of change
Horses jump over others just so they can gain
Kings limited in their movements, outcasts today while 
Pawns get torn and then led astray 
Oh, how I wish I could fade away
Sometimes it feels like everyone’s staged, but
I guess we’re all just pawns in this chess game of change”
