I have been in your situation! And did the same thing! But let me tell you it was the worst decision of my life, because in the process of becoming someone else (Evil, bad, mean) I lost the real me, who use to soothe people, help people!
Once I realised I lost myself! I decided to be myself and at the same time limit the interaction with those who take advantage of me!
In short, set boundaries for people and don’t allow anyone’s action or inaction change the way you are! Trust me it’s not worth it!
