To stop overthinking you have to understand your completeness. The overthinking mind searches for things to feed on — because it thinks it’s missing something.

You are complete within yourself. If you weren’t, you wouldn’t exist.

All that you are seeking is happiness. Happiness is found when you stop resisting life. When you stop desiring pleasure and fearing suffering, you find happiness.

So affirm within yourself that “I approve of myself” and “I am complete”.

You are not separate from the world. Everyone shares the same shared being. Happiness is the nature of that shared being i.e. Awareness.

You got it right. The overthinker finds it hard to let go of control initially. It wants everything to be comfortable. Patience is a rare virtue with this thinking mind.

You see the mind doesn’t know that it doesn’t have to think all the time. If you sense that everything(God) is perfect as it is, there is no need to think. The mind then silences when it realises that.

You can withdraw by choosing to let go of the energy behind thinking-ness. Choose not to make a commentary about anything because you are perfectly safe and complete in this moment. Then the mind stops overthinking.
