There's a difference between liking someone and loving them, you can like someone and still not be in love with them and vice versa. The reason why we don't stand a chance is he likes me but he doesn't love me and I love him but i don't like him. 

In my case it's an on and off, we've never been in a relationship but it always felt like one, it's been 5 years, he always turned me down by saying "I like you but I don't love you" but we still had the same bond and now he's with someone else right now. Guess he was right he didn't love me, It was all in my head.

Then it's a "no". I just posted something like this because it also happen to me. People said, please stay friend with him (her in my case) but still try to move on. Find someone who will love you the way you love them, and if he (your current crush) someday want to be with you, and you still have the feeling, then you can accept him.

I also thought the same once but you'll only know it if you experience it. I don't like the person he has become, he's never there for me when I need him the most but I still love him, I don't like when he acts differently around people but I still love him, i don't like him because he makes empty promises but I'm still in love with him, i don't even like the fact that I love him. I don't like him because he betrayed me and turned me down and never respected my feelings but I still love him. I hope now you know what I was talking about.

That is possible. Someone told me that before. I think at first they like you so they fall in love but once they’re in love, you might’ve changed or maybe reveal who you truly are so since they are already in love they can’t just unlove you but they can unlike you. It is necessary that you present the full you and the real you to people so that this doesn’t happen.

I can feel that, I also in similar condition tho. The thing is, are you currently have a chance to win his heart? To turn that "like" of his into "love"? Like, if he in a relationship with someone, then the answer is "no"
