This quote made me wonder, what is art, really? What does art mean to you? To me, art is what soothes the soul. It revolves around your perception of it, it is whatever you believe it to be. Art is anything or anyone you find true beauty in and this reminds me of the art of falling in love. Falling in love with something or someone, not for how they appear or seem to be, but for their essence, for the way they are, for their being. This is why I believe we refer to the one we love, as a beautiful piece or work of art. You’re in luck if you have met someone who makes you feel special. A person who reminds you of love, who reminds you of magic. Someone who is authentic, an absolute delight to be around, someone who makes your heart bloom without you noticing. Someone who makes you believe in true love. Your perception of love is shaped by the people you meet, the people you hold close to your heart, the people who bring peace to your soul, and the experiences you go through in life. Love can be found within, and once you share that love, aren’t you love itself? In the words of Van Gogh, anything done with love, is done well. Your affection for others, for the world, for yourself, it signifies the beauty you hold, the beauty that wraps the kindness and love you possess. When you see yourself through your loved one’s eyes, you’ll realise why they find you enchanting. It is because, the love within you is what makes you such a dream, the love within you is why you shall be called art. Embrace that love with all you can, embrace yourself with all you can. <3
