So, I have been friends with my ex for the past 7 years, the first 2 of which we were together. However, after we met each other 3 years back we didn’t try to make things happen and sustained our friendship. He was moving to a different city for studies and the thought of a long distance was anorexic to me in the first year of college. He came back after his first semester to his parent’s and we met again at a friend’s place. He held my hand, kissed my forehead and told me he still “missed me” and had feelings for him. I comforted him, however, didn’t reciprocate as I was dating someone then. He waited for me two years after that, the entire time we were close knit but just as friends. However, as the distance grew I started recognising all the residual feelings from a childhood love story. But, by the time I took charge of them, he was already with someone else. Nevertheless, I decided to tell him about my feelings. At first, he comforted me saying that he would never replace me and that I mean a lot to him, I’m important and our bond is something more than friendship, has always been. However, gradually when I kept pestering him about it, he told me he wanted to have a future with the girl he is currently dating and consequently we both called it quits on our friendship. Do you think he will come back to me? I mean 7 years is something right? Did I lose my soulmate?
U may loose ur soulmate if u end ur frndship and it will feel weird if that person of ur daily life doesnt exist anymore in ur life

So, you ended up being friends and were dating somebody else when the time was right. Now that he wants to build a future with his current one, why do you think, he should come back to you? Why not just be friends which you both were and be happy for them?
I mean you too were in a relationship and he waited, how about that. You want to wait like he did so that you both end up together?
I guess you should be friends again like before, if not, just wish him luck with her current one. 💙
