So, I got groped last week.
I had gone to buy groceries and this man cave from behind, he was talking on the phone while walking and he ever so casually just squeezed my butt and kept walking as if nothing even happened. I froze for 2 minutes. I didn’t know how to react or what to do. I can’t back home and spent the rest of the day trying too distract myself and not think about it. And eventually in the evening, when I couldn’t take it anymore I spoke to my best friend about it. And I was shook by her reaction! She said that I should’ve shouted or done something, she asked what was I wearing (not that it’s relevant but I wore full length track pants, a T-shirt and a full sleeved jacket on top), and that I should be more alert and carry a pepper spray and stuff! Like seriously? Are people really going to blame me for this?
And to top it all, she tried to invalidate it by saying that maybe it was something else and I thought that this guy groped me🙄🙄. Like WTF?
Do people really not respect women at all in this country? Like basic dignity and human decency is inexistent!
How can people even react like this, inspite of being a woman is beyond my comprehension. I just cannot deal with such people.

And remember your not to blame for this. The world we live in is very cruel. Next time shout for help or go after him and confront him.
Easier said than done, my friend. It happens so suddenly and unexpectedly, there’s nothing one can do to protect themselves. I don’t have a sixth sense to know what random man on the road might do to me on a Sunday morning
