3am Thoughts

career vs passion??? What do i even go ahead with, it just makes my head spin... I am a tech student and have been studying in a top college for a while and luckily received a few offers during the placement season but for some reason i do not feel satisfied. I have been very very very passionate about painting but could not pursue anything earlier and now I have no clue what to do, to choose career vs passion? While on one hand i know that i can earn a good amount and have job security if I just take a placement offer, i also know that i will not get the satisfaction that i would get from pursuing my artistic endeavors which may not necessarily give me much money or security. How do i choose, career vs passion? Either i can earn good money while doing something that i might not want to do for all my life or i can do something i love while having no guarantee of my financial situation. I shared with my family about this but they were adamant on how being an artist can never sustain me for my entire life and that has made it even tougher for me to actually choose between career and passion. What should i actually do, can money be a good substitute for job satisfaction or can job satisfaction be enough amid this highly messed up economical situation that we are living in. I hope i am able to get over this dilemma of career vs passion soon :')

It was only six o'clock, the night was already dark.
The fog, made thicker by its proximity, blurred every detail with its ragged veils, punctured at various distances by the reddish glow of lanterns and bars of light escaping from illuminated windows.

The road was soaked with rain and glittered under the street-lamps, like a lake reflecting strings of lights. A bitter wind, heavy with icy particles, whipped at my face, its howling forming the high notes of a symphony whose bass was played by swollen waves crashing into the piers of the bridges below. The evening lacked none of winter's rough poetry.
