Honestly speaking it really doesn’t help much, it’s better to maintain a distance from that person until things are better because when we are depressed our judgement is clouded.
But, if that’s the person who caused your depression then idk it’s your choice, if it was me I’d have blasted on them.

Speaking from experience, it’s a combination of both.
You gotta sit tight until the phase passes but, at the same time, you gotta start infusing small activities (walking, video games, movies, workouts, something or the other) into your routine that would help you break the loop of shitty thoughts that you are having.
And I know it feels like no one’s there for you but, reach out to someone close, only one person who, you feel, can somewhat understand you. Explain everything and stick to them.

Even I’m struggling and the person I’m sticking to is my mom.
