Other than giving up on life, is there another way to battle long term feelings of loneliness, social isolation, negative thoughts or flashbacks?

Yes there are many ways… Easiest way to get out of this is sweating heavily. Go for cycling or running in morning untill you sweat heavily. There are no room for negativity when your conscious mind is filled up with thoughts of struggling physical while you push your body. Do it for week and you are done.

That’s way to balance mental using physical body.
