There comes a time when you realize it the hard way that all your battles are your own. You gotta win or lose just by yourself only. No one's gonna take that pain of defeat or the joy of triumph. Once in 12th grade, I brought home a pet caterpillar, to which my mother said “You’re such a...... whacko”. I still don’t know how I feel about that.
