My school had a harassment intervention and my whole class HAD to share 1 experience where you’ve seen or been harassed…I’ve been harassed sexually and non sexually…the sexual kind is hard for me to talk about but I tried my best to stay calm and didn’t use my name or my harassers name…instead of empathy or even pity I was met with laughter and some people didn’t believe me. I was so embarrassed cause no one took me seriously. It’s hard talking about it…imagine you had the same person touch your thighs and boobs and ass for years and then you finally tell them no and when you go to tell someone to get help only the adults believe you but when the adults talk to the harasser the harasser apologizes when the teacher is there but then later yells at you in the bathroom. That was my day today. On a side note, i still haven’t committed self h@rm in like 2 weeks so yay?
Schools tend to be insensitive no matter how much they try to show that they are sensitive, that front usually tends to make things worst and get more people involved, good thing is you were able to speak up about it after years of suppression and even say no to the harasser. My heart felt condolences you had to go through such experience in schooling phase of life but you’re much stronger than that and hope to see you overcome this.

I am so sorry you had to go through this. It is NOT okay. It is NOT cool. The school shouldn’t have pressured the classmates to talk about such things in the first place, and they should not have put you and the harasser in the same room after you’d shared at all. If you need to vent, I’m here.
