My mother is an anxiety driven person who is now dependent on meds for working really hard to get my father rid of this alcohol problem

And he is a doctor and she was getting her ECG done and my father wasn’t there
He gets sober and apologises and everything gets sorted out, but it’s a cycle so everything gets forked up when he drinks

He says the most awful things to my mother - “I wish you were already dead” or something like “why are you not dead yet?”
This hurts me so much, because he doesn’t realise that the awful things he is saying to, is somebody’s mother, sister, idol, aunt and most importantly his wife

How would he like it, If I told all this crap to his mother as well?
She gave her life to take my father out from this alcoholism. He is so emotionally immature and disrespectful and rude and I don’t recognise him as my father anymore

Not anymore

If I had enough power, I would ban the narcotics industry
Especially alcohol. It fcking ruined our lives. We are ruined.

I’ve realized how selfish fathers are in some ways, and how selfless mothers are ,like opposite ends of the spectrum

Yes.
Mine father was the most selfless too, until he started to give away too much of himself to help others, thus neglecting us and taking support of alcohol
My mother, who is someplace else right now, still calls me and makes sure I eat, despite being so sick
I want this to end. Why do we have to
Suffer?
Why?

If it’s any consollation I’m sorry, but sorry doesn’t make anything better, just grow through what you go through ,sometimes you just have to deal with the things life throws at you

Be there for your mother and concentrate on her well being that is more important than concentrating on your dad and if he will leave alcohol or not, if he wanted to he would have been motivated enough to do it already
