It means that I will love you and stand by you even through the Worst of times. It means loving you even when you're in a bad mood, or too tired to do the things I want to do. It means loving you when you're down. not just when you're fun to be with. I love you" means that I know your deepest secrets ond do no judge you for them, asking in return that you do no judge me for mine. It means that I care enough to fight for what we have and that I love you enough not to 2 go. It means thinking of you, dreaming of you, wanting and needing you constantly, and hoping you feel the same way for me.

I don’t know what to say. I’m at such a loss for the right words, I’m not sure that this is going to flow as smoothly as I hope. But here goes.

You are the best and most beautiful and pure being to ever appear in my life. I literally cannot imagine a future without you. I’m sure I could figure it out eventually, but my soul cries out when I try. You make me so happy, and proud to be me, and you have helped me realize my worth more times than I can count. Five years today, and yet here I am sitting alone with a bottle of vodka and a pile of used tissues. I will always hate myself for lying to you, and for every wrong I ever did to you. I love you so much that my chest lots aflame when it hits me that I can’t call you or text you. I know I’ve let you down… and I know I’ve let your family down. I really want to, so very badly, just to hear your voice. I miss you so much, and I love you so much Amber. 

I can’t expect you to forgive me, I can’t even begin to ask for your forgiveness. I don’t want to ask anything of you, because I have no right to do so. I just hope and pray for an opportunity to talk to you, to try and explain what went on in my dumb head. I can’t want forgiveness, all I can pray for is a second chance, to prove to you that I’m not that kind of person and that I can be a trustworthy partner to you. That’s all, just a chance. Or whatever you would need to trust me, I would do it. Literally anything you ask, I will do without hesitation. You make me want to be a better man, and I lost my way with my pride and my arrogance, and my selfishness. I hate myself for doing this to you. I know I’ll spend the rest of my life apologizing to you; maybe not in person, but every day of my life will be different because of the pain and regret I’ve caused us. 

I’m not sure that I’ll send this. I know I said I wouldn’t ever reach out to you again, but I don’t know that I’m strong enough to do so. Amber as much as I want to be a strong independent man, I need you in my life. I need you in my heart, and I need you by my side. I will understand if you refuse, as is your right with how I treated you. But I swear to you that I will spend each and every single day being a better man for me, and a better man for you. 

I hope I can hear from you… I love you dearly and deeply, and I will never be able to stop. No matter how much you may want me to, or how much I know I should stop. Just to walk and talk with you, or take you to coffee or even just go driving with the windows down and the heat on would be an opportunity I would be blessed by. I love you so much.

Ok… I know I’m rambling now. But to sum up: I know I can never ask for or expect forgiveness. What I did was unforgivable, and I can never change my actions. But I promise and swear to you that if you could give us another chance, I would spend every day being a better and more responsible man, and I desperately want the chance to prove that to you. I’ve taken the beginning steps to fix a lot of my flaws that I could take care of on my own. I’m done trying to take care of them on my own, and I’m getting the assistance I need to achieve these goals. I hope that you can give us another chance, but I’ll try and be ok if you don’t.
