My close relative died during corona 2nd wave. And that’s why we aren’t celebrating any festival. I understand. Byt when I go on my terrace I see so much decoration around me and people bursting crackers , going for shopping , dressing up and enjoying.
I’m having a major FOMO. I dont even have anyone to hang out with . I am just stuck at home, drowned in my studies.

Same right. We are also not celebrating… But we are gonna burst some small crackers. Still I feel you

My grandma died 10 years ago, I’m 25 and I haven’t celebrate Diwali since then. If you’re old enough to understand the ‘why’ of your actions, it will be easier for you. I don’t believe in it but my family does. Think of it as someone close to you have died and as a gesture you are sacrificing a festive. It’s a choice, my uncle and his kids celebrate it. Have their share of fun. I’m happy for them. For me I don’t wanna celebrate it if my family isn’t. It’s as simple as that.
