Im 21 and most of us here are teenagers or above...and many of us haven't found our soulmate...but they are already born in this world, somewhere on the very same planet, your true soulmate is eating, sleeping and laughing and crying through life,...this thought overwhelms me and butterflies flap their sparkly wings inside my tummy....have anyone else had a similar thought??

Why have I always been in relationship with girls who have "daddy issues"?


Hi I am a separated man (M 34). Living in Delhi. 

As I look past the passing year and ofcourse the years that have long passed by, I have come to a strange realisation, that I have always been in relationships with girls who had "daddy issues". I don't mean the term in a derogatory way and by no means have these girls been unfit in any way as well. However, a connection to a troubled past with parents and growing up has always been a common factor with the girls I have had been. And while the list is not a long one but yet from what my recollections serves me each and every of my special someone's in life at one or another point of time can be generally categorised under as such. Now I am not a person who has studied psychology but if you get what I mean it isn't quite hard to identify commonalities, is it?

My question is what is this has to do with me? Am I person who attracts them in a good way or a bad way.. in terms of my own mental health and wellness? While my relationships have been mostly healthy, yet they have been unsuccessful due to practical and real world difficulties to continue forever.. and for that I don't blame it on the person but rather on the situation. Will I continue to attract the same kind always? I am interested in knowing what does it tell about me as a person?

I can describe myself as independent, mature, wise, thoughtful, gentle, and kind on the good/ white spectrum. And moody, silent, usually not showing emotions, cold when disillusioned, a person who doesn't care too much about anything in general, and non manipulatable to some extent on the bad/ grey spectrum.

Can anyone knowledgeable share some insights please?
