It was devasting to listen my father telling my son that only girls cry and boys don’t. Seriously??? Why shouldn’t the boys/men cry, they have feelings. And why girls/women are supposed to cry. Is venting out the feelings considered weak.

Do not let his grandfather brainwash him. We are done with men bottling up emotions and then causing violent outbursts on their spouses. Just let him know the appropriate places to show emotions. Like workplace isn’t a place to cry but in the arms of your partner it is okay to vent out as it is a safe place.
Also i hope your son learns to express himself freely, without feeling like its something he’s not supposed to do. Wish you well
