Grad school student. Severely burnt out. I've literally observed my mental capacity and thinking ability go horribly low over the last 6 to 8 months. I'm not myself at all. 

University counselors are useless tbh. They're sugarcoating and sweet talking and not really helping me recover /solve my issue. 

Not close enough with family to discuss this. I also think my friends (closest ones) are getting tired of my apathy, negative outlook etc.

Should I take a semester off? (I have a huge loan as well for grad school) What else can I do? I can't soldier on. I simply don't have any energy left. I'm struggling to even do bare minimums. No amount of positive quote or motivation is helping.

I’m always feeling lonely and friendless..

Hey guys , so like, i had this dude whom had been my best friend for the last 4 years but 2 years ago, man got into a relationship and sidelined me , a lot and it hurt, once they broke up, i opened up to him and told him how i felt left out, a little too much. He promised me that he would never sideline me again and all kinds of bs as to how much he values our friendship, A year later he found another girl and honestly i liked her a lot as well (as a friend) and i was genuinely happy for him. Fastforward to this month's beginning, he was all set to get transsfered to another state on the 4th of may, and due to exams and shit ,we couldn't hang out properly till the 15th of this month. After exams were done , i called him so many times and asked him if he wanted to hang? But he kept giving excuses and i grew tired of calling him as well. Then when our friend group made a plan to meet up, he comes at the last moment and lies saying that he was studying for NDA, only to find out later that he was hanging out with his girlfriend.  The following days he made no attempts to hangout with me but went cycling 40 mins away to meet his girl daily (i live 5 mins away). This time i got mad and blocked him on social media, i kept our discord open just in case he wanted to sort stuff out( he is active on discord 24x7) yet he made no efforts to contact me, he is madly in love with this girl who is dating him to just pass her time. I don't regret my descion in disconnecting him out of my life but we have so many common friends , he is there in all of them and i kinda miss him.

I'm feeling really bad since I've come back to school, I don't feel energetic and I'm starting having negative thoughts about my life and myself
