Checking others is basically an act of greed, people consider it so casual these days but it is harmful at some level
To what level is it okay?

There is no hard and fast such level, if you do not like your partner checking others then its not okay, though intention of your partner should also be considered consider this example, when we visit others house then we do check the house, the interior, the decor, that doesn’t mean we do not like our house but we check what changes can be done to the house to improvise it.
I would suggest instead of posting it here talk it directly with your partner, a direct conversation with your partner should be helpful
