In India there are phases such as β€œburi nazar wale tera muh kalla”(a person who thinks or have an evil/bad view about other there face should be black). So I searched about it and I found that in our society we portray black as an insult or defamation . What if a person is black that mean he has a bad view about others. I’m very much confused. I just need some views on it.

Being called by labels that suggest the black colour so what do you think people will see themselves. People portray brown or light brown as gora(white) and dark brown as kalla(black)

Being black doesn’t matter. But making someone black counts as an insult. For example if someone puts black colour on the effigy of a politician or a person it’s marked as disrespect . This is the meaning of this phrase

The saying has nothing to do with dark skin complexion, it’s actual meaning is something different. You have read an incorrect article…

Muh kala in the context has nothing to do with the complexion.
