In a patriarchal society, a move like making bus rides and metro rides free for women only shows that we are inferior. This move might help poor women, but what about poor men? Women earn too, and we’ve been paying metro fare since long so we will be able to do it now too. It would’ve been good if that money went for the betterment of the education and health departments.
