I’m a dancer. And the worst thing that can happen to a dancer is a leg injury. A person who has the habit of moving all the time has to be on the bed for weeks. In 2016 I was a part of the dance society in college and it was the peel time of fests where everyday we had to perform on stage. Unfortunately one of the colleges had a concrete stage due to which I twisted my ankle due to the uneven floor. I thought it wasn’t so bad since I performed the rest of the dance piece. However when I went back home I knew something wasn’t right so my seniors told me to get it checked with the doctor and when I did they told me that it’s a ligament tear and you will have to stop dancing completely. That’s when I broke inside and cried since being on stage was one of the best feelings I ever got but I couldn’t do that for weeks now. However I did not give up and pushed myself and healed myself sooner than it would’ve taken to heal and decided to be back on the stage. It was a lesson that no injury can stop one from pursuing what they do best!

So relatable! I do weight lifting and i got a ligament tear as well. Had to stop lifting for a few weeks but then got back up!

True, it’s really sad when we can’t perform our hobbies or work due to injuries or medical issues. But our determination makes us to perform well again.
