I would like to know your opinions in this thing happened on me and my boyfriend. If I am right or not, and how can I do to make things go well.
We are in a cross cultural relationship for three years, and due to the virus, we haven’t met for almost a year. Days ago, I asked if it was okay that I met up with a male friend of my who I have known for more than 10 years. My boyfriend was a bit concerned since he has never met this guy before, but still he agreed. I don’t want him to worry so I offered to send him some photos and videos, and if he was free then we could also have a call when I meet up with my friend.
My friend asked to have a dinner together after work(19:30 to 21:30), since it’s a naive thing in the place I grew up, I agreed.
My boyfriend was not very happy about it after I shared with him the time, but I went anyway. I thought if I shared photos, videos, and have a call during the meeting he would understand there’s nothing to worry.
But I was wrong, my boyfriend is very angry about the fact that I went out with my friend knowing that he is upset. And he thinks that it’s better to break up if I have to go out with male friend alone.
This thing happened once last year. Same friend of my, but I canceled the meeting when my boyfriend got upset of the fact that I wanted to go out with a male friend alone. And that is the reason why I decided to go to the meeting, I hope to change something.

Oh my god girl …let me start saying the things…im already sorry if i say something that u dont like …im just saying coz u asked okey …so here goes first that u need to " ask" him before meeting a friend i mean whats that u dont need to get permission of anyone if u wanna do it and the terms like photos n videos umm that was okeish and what about trust??? Does even a relationship work without trust idk if it does to how there r so many things wrong…there is controlling and jelousy , insecurity ( which are not acceptable in your case) u guys really need to talk about that i mean its just bad and im sorry …also u were not wrong ur perfectly right ( also i hope u dont do the same if he goes out with someone)
I feel a bit jealous when he goes out with his female friends, but I think it’s normal. For me, relationship and friendships are not conflict.
I have tried many times to talk about it with him, but always make it worse. My bf is very insecure. Is there any suggestions of how to do it?
Insecurity its just something which is there can only go by trust and in baby steps idk the perfect solution coz i was in a relationship once my ex was crazy insecure this reminds me of him only i tried my best by making sure the trust bt it just went away umm i broke up so im not the best person to give advice on this but yeh this is the thing ik which is best was ro solve is communication and still having problems that u cant stand and u really want him to couple therapy

I think you talk to him about this, and have a conversation about why he doesn’t like something that so normal
And if you don’t find his reasons worthwhile, then yk what yo do
