I thought I was in love with an intelligent and practical guy. But was too blind to see the red flags in the first place. He was not just a red flag but a whole red forest. What are the early signs of an abusive guy?
One habit to look for is if he drinks regularly or occassionally. Such guys are always turns out abusive in the end.

I do think that drinking can alter the normal functioning of a person’s mind to some extent which could lead to such results.

I can say some that I personally feel
1. Drinking/smoking often.
2. Not treating other people well (especially lower than him in status).
3. Abusing and swearing a lot.
4. Having lots of female friends.
5. Arrogant.

Drinking is not a good sign for me, it is also not seen as a decent behaviour in society. So if a drinks guys and expects not to be judged that can’t be the case.

Every relationship has a fading phase. When u lose interest in person u find reasons to quit.

Red flag or abusive one i think u should find out quite easily if u care to observe small details i say simple behaviour tells you more like how that person treat inferior person or how that person behave when he have power or strong ground like most of people shows their behaviour when they have power i heard a quote about it in vikings that say Power is dangerous. It corrupts the best and attracts the worst so see that person behaviour when he have power
