I saw on mad men, that Don Draper didn’t want a Jaguar because he didn’t feel anything when he saw it and then Joan tells him “That’s because you’re happy”. Is there a happiness so pure, that it transcends the whims of consumerism, that your need for material objects just dissipates? Must be nice this “happiness” I would very much like to cry into a Prada than a warm embrace. I want to be able to one day buy all my friends bags and my family and then I’ll be happy maybe.
