I long for a relationship. Every time I see couples doing something together or read a book or watch movies where you see the love blossom between two people I get this deep longing for someone to love me like those I read about I’m books.
And I also get this feeling of loneliness (romantically wise) that comes with it.

No, where I live using dating apps are practically useless. And from what I’ve heard most of those relationships don’t even get a chance to start before it ends.

I’m from a very small country and you can’t exactly go on tinder and Hope to match with someone there, the chances of an actual encounter with one is close to zero

It IS real we just have to make it happen, and find that love with someone who’s meant for us. How can we write about it and portray it in movies if it wasn’t possible or ‘not real’ as you’ve said.
Im a man but why does it matter . I write short stories too , and while i do appreciate the depiction of reality, a lot of it based on my experiences and imagination. So no you dont always get 100 percent honest love depiction in pop culture, be it movies or books, anybody who believes it to be true is honestly being ignorant or disillusioned

And answer this, in books you see characters willing to sacrifice their lives for someone else whether that’s romantically or not. And you watch movies about someone simply doing something that seems completely meaningless to others but to them its not.
Now tell me if you saw the woman or man you love dying and all you had to simply do is hold their hands like in the movies isn’t that an act of love if you choose to do so.
Can’t a person feel such depth of love for another just like characters do?
