I left hometown last year for my startup, my father was not supportive, but as i have done something & he knows it, he actually start feeling proud but due to bad times & harsh conversations with him last year, i am unable to express my feelings with him.
He is a doctor, 3 months back i was sick instead of talking to him i paid fees for a doctor.
Pls help

Sometimes it’s okay to accept that our parents were wrong ang it hurtful because we trust them to be the best and love us unconditionally but now that we are older we can now see that they are just adults acting off their own trauma.
Talk to him but call him out on how he acted and made you feel.
You deserve an apology

How to have guts to start such conversation
Cindy @cyndi
That’s always that hard part but don’t overthink it just say the first feeling
Siddharth @sidd25
I can start such conversation with mummy, should i express to mother i am sure she will share exact same with papa or should i make a direct conversation with papa?
Cindy @cyndi
Are you close to your mother or any sibling?
Siddharth @sidd25

Just be clear what u want to say to him…if u are away from him then just drop the message u want…he will read and come back to u…and will feel what u want…or else if u are with him then go and sit near to him look at his eyes and say what u want to say to him…and the best therapy is a hug, hug your dad and say thank u for everything . he loves u but being a father he is just hiding the emotion ☺
Siddharth @sidd25
Thanks, actually feeling better after sharing this with someone who really exist, i had this in heart from last 6-7 months
