I just wanted to know are mother really great or can they be manipulative ,self centered , not giving emotional support, slut shaming thier own daughters .
Please tell me that people out there have ‘bad mother’ that are not as they are portrayed in movies and books .

There is a notion that Mother’s can’t be wrong in any means or their decisions can’t hurt their child even if what they think are in the best interest of their child.
To make it clear and it’s true according to me, even if what they think/decide is in their child’s interest it doesn’t mean they were right in doing the “way” they did and not feeling sorry for it. Or, we shouldn’t feel sad about their actions. Everything can’t be controlled and shouldn’t be controlled. There are things that the child has to figure out on their own but they take that away from us sometimes. To make you feel good, I don’t have emotional support from my mother as much as I wanted it to have.
Also, what movies/series show is fiction and shouldn’t be applied in real life not expect to happen that because clearly, you are feeling disappointed.

Thank you so much, I just some time feel that I must be wrong that’s why she doesn’t love me , even when I try my best to please her, do things the way she wants me to do but whatever I do it’s just not good enough for her so I feel depressed .

You have the right to feel that way. I too feel sometimes.
But, you don’t need to please to get her validation. It will do you no good because that isn’t something she wants, she is probably by nature that way.
It can also be because of the way she was brought up, the values taught and they often don’t try to adjust to our generation and how things have changed and that leads to clashes and that’s okay. We can’t help it and we can’t compromise either every time.

Hey not every human being is perfect and no mother is a perfect mother. There is are mean people that exist in the world and when we come up to be mature we are able to gain an understanding of the world around us! We also are able to understand why a mother might think that way? you know! It is probably because of how they were brought up and how actually society is structured! Try talking things out with your mom. Communication heals relationships!

I have tried so many times to tell her that her words hurt me ,If I am doing things her way she is happy but if I want to do things my way then she becomes angry and start ignoring me and slut shaming me , even try blackmailing me emotionally.
She is only ready to give me love If I do things her way.
I don’t even know her. Sometimes she becomes best mother if she wants emotional support but if I want the same then she is not ready to give me love.
I am so sorry thatvyou have to go through this. It feels as you are guided to do what she wants just so that you get the love. But I read this somewhere that," you are going to piss of a lot of peopel when you start to do what is best for you" So my advice to you would be to fill yourself with self love and faith and do what you believe in. It will not be an easy thing to do but trust me it can really change you!
