I have been in depression since about a year now. I am on medication but my parents dont know about it because if i tell them they will say that i dont need it and it is just a phase. but i know that it is not a phase. i know how tough it is for me to get out of the bed in the morning and get going. every single day. its hard. nobody understands my pain and struggle.

It is very important for your parents to be on board with you. Please try to make them understand your condition. Their support will make a lot of difference. Afterall they are your parents, they will understand. :) Take care!
Thank you so much Sebastian. It’s wonderful and comforting to know that I am not alone in this. Means a lot to me. Hope you are doing well xx
Thankyou so much Maulika!

I highly suggest you speak with your doctor about scheduling a meeting with your family in order to properly educate them about your condition. I personally know the difficulty that comes with not having a proper support system, especially when it comes to family. I suffer from Bipolar II Disorder - even though no one will be able to fully understand you, many can sympathize with your struggle. You are not alone in this. If you ever feel the need to reach out, by all means please feel free to do so.
