I have a huge exam that I will take during the end of the school year, but my parents are asking me to practice now. Every time I start practicing for it I start feeling anxiety or stress build up in me until it becomes so unbearable that I have to quit practicing and find something else to do to calm me down. I don’t know why this happens, but whenever I do any work the feeling comes back.

Yeah exams are pretty stressful. Just take a breathe and start small. U know that we have a pandemic going on right now right! Just enjoy the new year with family and start afresh. Make daily schedules and make sure you finish everyday’s work . All the best 🍁

Hi, anxiety due to exams are some things almost everyone faces so don’t worry too much about it.

Here are some tips that will help you overcome your anxiety and prepare well for exams.
1) Make a plan for how you will study, preferably write it down on a paper.
2) Begin with studying subjects and topics you are good at or the topics you like most it will help you build confidence.
3) Gradually move towards the topic or subject that feels tough. You may face a bit uncomfortable doing it and a bit of perseverance is required here.
4) Reach out to friends and mentors in case you need help with any problem/topic. This is really very helpful and helps you study at a fast pace.
