I have a crush on this guy for quite awhile now. He’s cute, smart, kind, talented, charming, and a gentleman. We’ve only interact whenever we have clinical duties and that’s like 4 days per month. But even if we physically interact in a short period of time, I can’t help but to fall for him. I was having a hard time during our clinical duties but he was always there to help and I even learned a lot from him. He also turns a stressful day into a good one and I really appreciated his efforts. Unlike the guy friends I had previously, I didn’t have any problems in approaching him and we get along very well. Oh, he’s really a good person and I keep falling for him. However, I know that I am not his type just by observing the people around him. He’s into a more extrovert and famous girls in the campus. Me on the other hand is an introverted person and not that good looking. I even wear heavy makeup because I am insecure of my face. It;'s not as radiant and smooth like all the other girls he encountered with. And it’s really bothering me because I want him to like me but at the same time I don’t want to enter into a relationship with him because my parents are strict and I might not be able to give him the affections he deserve. But damn… I keep having dreams about him and I feel sad because there will be never be something between us just like we are living in two different worlds. I want these feelings to be gone and just focus on my studies. I am only hurting myself the more stronger my feelings are for him.

Congrats! Is it really hard going into med school? I’m still in doubts whether or not I should continue to pursue being a doctor. It doesn’t really fit the skills I have… I’m already struggling in nursing school but I really don’t have a choice.

I’m 20. Well in my place, its either you have to be a doctor, engineer, entrepreneur, or you marry someone rich HAHAHA… My dad does not want me to become just a nurse because of its low salary compared to being a doctor. And he’s already bragging to his friends and relatives that I’m going to med school after graduating. He even calls me as a doctor which really pressures me a lot because nursing is not even my first choice.

Just because you observed other types of girls around him doesn’t automatically mean that he dislikes you. I am sure that you have your own charms and beauty. You should be more confident with yourself.
In my opinion you should confess to him when you are ready and make clear that you have strict parents (I have the same problem lol). His reaction will btw say a lot about his character.
Even if he says no or the outcome is not as you expected try to keep the friendship alive and the same way it used to be before your confession.
