3am Thoughts

I'm disappointed from my dad. He does help ma but if he's in mood of it, he disrespects her often. I mean why is this so common. You know I've a little brother I don't want him to be like that. Papa is a really good person I know but sometimes somethings hurt!!!

Exhausted

My Dad is cheating on my Mom. I came to know about it in the year 2020. My mom is not aware of it, my sister and I confronted our dad about it but he denied saying that they just talk. I got to know after that, that they have been talking for years now. After getting to know about it, every dot started connecting. My mom has faced domestic violence and her self-esteem was ruined. She faced all kinds of stuff that a typical Indian housewife faces and the man thinks that they have certain righteousness over the women of the family. My Dad didn't use to be a bad man, we never took any sides whenever there use to be a fight. However, after getting to know about his cheating, things changed for me. I started to hate him. Whatever he has done started making sense. He is the earning member of the family and he makes use of this fact to claim his rights. It is tough to think about divorce because Indian societies don't let women live with it. I have stopped talking to him and I am not being able to forgive him. I am not at peace because of this. what should I do to get peace?

Anger Issues

My dad is the worst person I know. The scum of the earth kind. He is an abusive man who does not deserve a wife or kids. I am torn between showing him his place or not bursting his bubble and letting him live out his remaining years. 


Family

Feeling demotivated. I struggle a lot with people around me that are very judgemental epecially my father. I am a young guy that's into the concept of coming up with new business ideas but apparently my father never thinks they are good enough. His first reaction is never to at least tell me it's a good idea, it's to go straight into criticisms. It would be okay if that was how he is with everyone but I've seen stranger present ideas to him and the first thing he'll say to them is, "I think that's a tremendous idea" and then afterwards go into the criticisms. It always gets me depressed for about 2 weeks after he says it before my next idea comes to mind. About 7 years ago when I was a young kid I shared an idea with him and his response was, "That would never really work." I believed him because I was a young kid and he was the "superior adult", as he always told me. Last year during the midst of the pandemic someone else did my business idea and was very successful financially as a result. He then forwarded me the Forbes article on it and wrote, "Isn't this such an amazing idea?" I sat there in shock and never mentioned it to him. I really struggle because as young man you always want some form of validation from your parent. 

Narcissism

I really hate my father so much. He only cares just himself, I wish he never been my father.

Hey, i want to get one suggestion I'm so rough in talking, i try to be clam but can't when papa start talking, i feel like I have ton of anger in myself and when he saying something unusual or the thing i don't like i just start giving him answers like, i don't even care that he is my father, and after then i realize that what kind of shit I've done! I'm being so rude all the time.
And i really don't know how to get rid of this😔

I never understood why I am scared of my father
He never yelled at me,he never verbally or physically abused me, he's a very chill dad,he never scold he for low grades
He always make me understand things very politely but then why am I so scared of him
