Sharing Our Innermost Thoughts

I feel like my boyfriend is a poser. Like this sounds so weird, but I feel like he puts on this persona like he is trying to be someone he thinks h should be or wants to be, but I don’t think it’s actually him. This sounds so weird but I promise, it’s just the feeling I get. He says he want physics to be his life, he talks about it a lot. He says he wants to write books, and have a podcast, and be an influential person so he can spread physics. He says all the books he reads he connects to physics and he thinks in physics. I don’t know if this makes sense, but it just feels like he is so badly trying to convenience me and most importantly himself that he is obsessed with physics and is completely motivated by physics. It bothers me because I just want him to be himself and get to know the real him. If he honestly was truly passionate and interested in helping kids or becoming a singer or a fashion designer or helping animals ( anything) I would be so happy just to know that this is something he authentically cares about and that he is in touch with himself. Maybe I just don’t see him right, but I just have this itching feeling that he is putting on a facade. Do I sound crazy?
