I entered into my country’s top premium b-school. Of course that was my dream but the problem is that its very expensive. We belong to middle class family and it actually was a really big and tough decision for us. But still am here.
Now the thing is my mom keeps saying this like everyday, sometimes to herself, sometimes to me, that- This was the biggest mistake and decision of her life.
Its not like am failing, I scored a 7.86 cgpa which is neither good neither bad but this sentence of hers always undermines me and questions my worth.
I dont know I start thinking about dropping from here and joining any normal college coz I actually dont wanna be a burden. And m unable to figure this out.
Im enjoying here, learning amazong superb stuff and competition is extremely high but mental peace isnt there. Moreover the values taught here are feminist and modern whereas my family is conventional and has traditional values. Due to that we often have a clash and we dont stay on good terms for more than few hours.
On the other hand if I join any normal college, mom is gonna be happy, my future will be uncertain(comparatively), mental peace is gonna be shit, but atleast ill not be a burden to my father who is working in such a situation for me just because my fees is high and I dont know this is all just so confusing!!!
Anybody who is a professional counsellor or any professional passed out from a prestigious college, career counsellor plz guide me.

MBA from a good/expensive school guy here. I can tell you the time will be tough. You have to bear and go through these as well but remember the time you’ll be in internship. I’m sure that internship stipend will itself suffice and justify the cost to your mom. Plus the exposure you’re getting, I can’t even express now how much value it’ll add in your life. Just hang in there warrior, I’m here to listen.

Yes we have internships but that still has some time. So till then i’m joining other companies for part time internship. For experience as well as financial well-being.

Thanks for the moral support!! I’ll be definitely taking a loan but I cant actually get enough space here. Once the colleges reopen i’ll be the happiest person in this world co i actually do not want to stay near energy drainers. and because they are my family this doesnt mean that I’ll do as they say.
By the time colleges open do you have any tips how can i neglect or maintain some respectful distance from my family in a very polite manner?
