I dreamt of my ex but I can’t remember the details. I just know it was him. Now, he resent his friend request (using an alter account) and left a message. It’s been 9 months since the last time I replied to him and he still leaves a message from time to time. I just want him to forget me.

Either dumped or left on mutual understanding, the person doesn’t want to be bothered.
There is a reason they wanted to leave and have left so why wanting to cling onto someone who doesn’t want to be together…
Respect yourself and them. If one wants to go, open the door and maybe someone better would come into your life
